Melanoma Cancer Abstracting Boot Camp
About Course
Melanoma Cancer Abstracting Boot Camp
Start with normal skin, melanocytes, how melanoma develops, risk, diagnosis, nearby lymph nodes, and the clinical treatment path. No registry background is assumed. Then follow linked fictional records through site, histology, pathology, extent and stage, first-course treatment, and source-based registry text.
Inside the course: A clinical foundation and eight ordered modules move from one decision to the next. Short reveal checks, case decisions, scored reviews, and feedback let you practice as you go. A dedicated radiation lesson separates plans from delivered fractions. The five-case abstract lab presents detailed fictional chart packets, dropdown decisions, text practice, and source-linked feedback. Finish with a 20-question exam and course review.
Use the diagnosis-year and registry-standard manuals for production coding. The lab is teaching practice and does not replace a full registry edit set. All patients and reports are fictional.
